Sierra Norte de Guadalajara | Castile-La Mancha

Episodio 11
4:24

If there is a place in Spain where man and nature coexist harmoniously, it is in the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara region. Shades of green, gray, violet, blue, silver, and black blend in a visual spectacle that defines this land full of natural contrasts, promoting sustainable tourism that respects the environment.

You will want to lose yourself in the wild nature of the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara Natural Park, a haven of pristine wilderness rarely found in other areas. It’s the only place in Castilla-La Mancha where you can see remnants of glacial formations, adding to its unique and special botanical character.

You will breathe the cleanest air in Spain in the village of Campisábalos, where you’ll experience its quality of life and the changing seasons, always in close connection with the locals and nature.

You can walk among the Black Villages. The slate roofs, streets, and chimneys stain the landscape in blacks and ochres in towns like Majaelrayo, Campillo de Ranas, or Valverde de los Arroyos.

Mushroom foraging, birdwatching, wild plant workshops, or geological interpretation tours are some of the unique ways to explore this region.

Paisajes Sonoros is an original idea by the Spanish Network for Rural Development, funded by the European Union – NextGeneration EU Funds, through the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism.
